Amazing work ~ 很好的事

Very kind people I met after a big lunch ~ 很客氣的台灣人
A great sleep - nice if a little longer, but thanks to some friends of some friends! And good to have all of the clothes dry too! Left Hsinchu about 9 30 for a light rainy start. Down hills felt great, greeting people along the way, with a wave and getting a JIA YO, back! This really helped with the up hill challenges not to far up ahead. But the bike went really well. Legs a little acheing but still OK! ITS ONLY DAY 2. Got some directions from Family mart, and also some shoe covers, so this time im not soaked to the bone. But the rain today nothing like yesterday. Another 200NT donation from the kind lady serving there and I was off again in high spirits. About an hour later stopped in TouFen, for some soup and a NICe chat to the local ladies, who couldnt believe what i was doing, and thought i was crazy. Off again and arriving in Maioli, I quickly found an underground parking [after taking some glory shots offcourse] and took my belonging on the bus for a trip to Taian hot springs. Walking past many strawberry farms, and friendly locals letting me try their fresh pick! mmm. all good vitamins. Suddenly realized I dont have my phone. Friendly people at HiLife, helped me call bus station and bus companies but no luck. Ahh, well, bad, but at leaset I still have my camera, so I can keep showing you where I am! Oh, The hilife assistant also drove me [as she was finishing her shift at time] to the Hot springs, so I didnt have to walk the extra 10 mins. And it was a great relaxing, healing, soothing end to the day. Outdoor springs, nature, amazing awesome, Taiwan - Chunghua next....
Many strawberry fields ~ 很多草莓

Day 1 Taipei - Hsinchu

My bike ready to go ~ 我的車子好了
Ready for a rainy start ~ 開始的時候

Rain. It didnt stop. And so much to make me loose some courage at 7 30am, before doing some final packing, and heading off to cks mem. hall by 9am. The photos for the press took a while, but well worth it I think.. to raise as much as awareness for the Garden of Hope as possible. Laoban and I were off to breakfast, and what a great breakfast\brunch it was. Soups and seafoods, a great start to the rainy day. The boss there gave me the amount we spent on breakfast back in donations. So kind! The media followed us, and met us there, but more donated as a result! Out of there and late start to Hsinchu. Two hours later we, all start to Hsinchu. Two hours later we, all soaked and wet through and through, stopped and the famous  [every 200mt] 7 11 for a chocolate/coffee hit. A little boy in his neat saturday school attire, smiling at our efforts. We took some photos and were off.Another couple of hours arrived at RuKou. Old town, nice rice triangles in bamboo and many cute small fruits with ginger on top. Ate lots. Only 20km left. Still raining.. still soaked! JIA YO! Down hills were amazing by now.. no pain but having to move around to help massage the most used body parts. We arrived at 5pm, at the beatiful Hsinchu train station. A trip to the colourful famous temple, and later eating eating eating, feeling cold Ok!!!Bar for some darts and warm water with lemon. Bring on Mioli! Tomorrow morning 9 am, from the train station!
